THE Duke of Edinburgh visit

THE Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, visited the Ab Phab youth club for disabled and able-bodied children at Kingsley Hall, Parsloes Avenue, Dagenham, on Wednesday evening.
Making his way around the club, which caters for disabled and able-bodied children, he chatted to workers, volunteers and members about their lives.
Tim Baggs, information and marketing manager of the Disablement Association of Barking and Dagenham, said: 'They actually felt important. With Prince Philip coming down and talking to them, they felt really special. 'Sometimes the youngsters can be wary of new people but he was so ordinary. You wouldn’t have thought he was anyone special. He was just like your grandad.'
