Last-ditch auction joy for Beatles fan

YOU CAN'T buy him love, but one lifelong Beatles fan is over the moon after beating the clock to snap up some unique Fab Four memorabilia in a charity auction.

Iain Broom, who runs Rodney Comic Books, Longbridge Road, Barking, will travel to Liverpool next week to receive his newest acquisitions from Sir Paul McCartney's brother Mike, after paying £1,000 for them in the auction.
