Council sponsors Daggers stadium

DAGGERS fans have backed a new sponsorship deal that will see their stadium named after the council.

Newly promoted Dagenham and Redbridge FC signed the three-year-deal - worth £30,000 each season - on Monday.

The move is thought to be the first of its kind in professional football and the ground will now be known as The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Stadium.
